Biomass for sustainability

Recent advances and future directions

May 23 , 13:00 – 17:00
KTH, Stockholm

Welcome to an open symposium on the recent advances and future directions for biomass utilisation, held at KTH on May 23! The symposium is a satellite event for the Nobel Symposium, and is funded by the Carl Trygger Foundation

With the increasing population and energy and environmental concerns, the world is calling for sustainable development. Biomass provides sustainability priorities thanks to its renewable sources such as trees and biodegradability. Extensive efforts are being devoted to biomass-based materials design and bioenergy, offering significant possibilities in many conventional and advanced applications, contributing to the reduction of our reliance on fossil-based materials and fuels.

This is a satellite event to the SUCCeSS Nobel symposium on Chemistry for Sustainability: Fundamental Advances. To find more information about the symposium (open by invitation only) and other satellite events arranged during the week please visit the SUCCeSS website

The symposium takes place in the room D2, Lindstedtvägen 9, at KTH. See on map.

The symposium is free to attend and open to everyone. The last day to register is May 11.

For questions, please contact the host of the symposium, Associate Professor Yuanyuan Li, KTH
