PhD project: Synchrotron Methods for Biomaterial Processes
Project:
Supervisor: Tomas Rosén
Project planned to end:
Dissertation planned to: 2028-03-31
Research area:
Utilizing high brilliance x-ray sources like synchrotrons to make in-situ observations of flows at a nano-microscale, specifically of forest based materials, like cellulose nanofibrils and nanocrystals. The main focus is on time-resolved assembly dynamics in flow-focused systems, like fibrils forming gelled filaments or crystals disassociating following the introduction of salts. Other studies include x-ray multiprojection of human blood flow and wetting of porous structures.
- Research theme: 3-material forming
