My research focuses on the Evaluate interfacial Properties of bio-adhesive bonding , specifically exploring the fracture behavior at the adhesive-wood interface. The study combines experimental methods and numerical modeling to analyze the performance of bio-adhesives system, under different loading conditions. By using tests like End-Notched Flexure (ENF) and Double Cantilever Beam (DCB), along with Digital Image Correlation (DIC) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as Abaqus, the research aims to characterize Mode I and Mode II fracture energies, bondline stiffness, and cohesive zone behavior.
This work contributes to the broader field of sustainable materials and structural mechanics, aiming to develop reliable, eco-friendly bonding technologies for engineered wood products used in construction, furniture, and packaging.
Treesearch aims at creating a national platform to support the research on new materials from the forest. Research projects conducted within Treesearch research areas and the researchers who are active in these projects are welcome to join the platform.
