Research area:

My research focuses on developing modelling and numerical techniques for studying the mechanical behaviour of materials. During my PhD, the main focus was to develop model for constitutive law of nonlinear behaviour using neural networks, constrained by mechanics and thermodynamics, for finite element modelling. Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher, the focus is on using microscopic computed tomography aided finite element modelling to obtain damage coupled model to understand the mechanical behaviour of wood.
