PhD project: Dynamic Compression/Tension for Cellulose Treatment
Supervisor: Michael Liverts
Dissertation planned to: 2024-10-16
Research area:
The extreme conditions produced by shock waves hold significant potential for cellulose treatment. This method offers a chemical-free, energy-efficient approach to generating micro- and nanofibrillar cellulose. In applying this technology, I focus on concentrating on developing a controllable process for nanofibrillar cellulose production while investigating the mechanisms of cellulose under extreme conditions.
- Research theme: 1-wood components, 2-biorefinery
