Dissertation planned to: 2028-09-30
Research area:
My research focuses on the mineralization of cellulose-based materials via carbonation for CO₂ utilization. The work explores the interaction between CO₂, alkaline solutions, and cellulose matrices, aiming to understand carbonation mechanisms, phase formation, and morphology evolution of calcium carbonate within biopolymer systems. Various characterization techniques, including XRD, SEM, and spectroscopic methods, are employed to evaluate carbonation efficiency, mineral nucleation and growth, and material properties.
