Polymers in multi-valent ionic media: New physics and new materials
Professor Matthew Tirrell is a pioneering researcher in the fields of biomolecular engineering and nanotechnology, specializing in the manipulation and measurement of the surface properties of polymers, materials that consist of long, flexible chain molecules. His work combines microscopic measurements of intermolecular forces with the creation of new structures. His work has provided new insight into polymer properties, especially surface phenomena, such as adhesion, friction, and biocompatibility, and new materials based on self-assembly of synthetic and bioinspired materials.
The seminar is given as a part of the KTH series Current Research in Fibre and Polymer Science and is open for you who are Treesearch associated, by streaming or at KTH (Treesearch, Teknikringen 38a).
Registration for streaming of the seminar: Registration is needed for the streaming (registration closes November 20 at 12.00).
For attending the seminar at KTH you don’t have to register, but it makes it easier for the organizers to plan.
