PhD project: Hemicellulose recovery through oxidative extraction

Research area:

Verify if oxidative cleavage of vicinal diols, applied on wood tissue, selectively enhances the mass transfer of hemicelluloses and promotes their extraction. Also, test if other oxidative routes are capable of accomplishing the same effect.
