The aim is to develop bio-based polyester (in collaboration with researchers from University of Oulu) and select appropriate natural fibers from cellulose origin as reinforcement design high performance environmentally friendly composite materials. Once constituents are selected the composites will be manufactured and characterized. After theoretical design of the composites the manufacturing of unidirectional and cross-ply laminates will be pursued from the selected constituents.
