Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs); Chemical modification; Cellulose and cellulose derivatives; Tribo-filters.
Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) are used to enhance air filtration efficiency through the triboelectric effect. By chemically modifying cellulose with electro-donating and electro-accepting functional groups, the triboelectric properties are improved. This leads to higher output performance and better filtration capabilities, including the removal of particulate matter and harmful gases. Cellulose-based TENGs are effective in filtering pollutants and can also be used for self-powered sensing applications, making them a sustainable and innovative solution for air purification.
Treesearch aims at creating a national platform to support the research on new materials from the forest. Research projects conducted within Treesearch research areas and the researchers who are active in these projects are welcome to join the platform.
