PhD project: Characterisation of synthetic and cellulose based polymer materials using X-ray imaging techniques
Supervisor: Marianne Liebi
Dissertation planned to: 2024
Usage of large scale facilities for the characterisation of new polymer materials at several different length scales. Investigation of the microstructure of polymer materials is of interest since it defines the mechanical properties of the material. For many applications, understanding the microstructure is key in order to prevent breakage, increase quality of the material and develop more sustainable materials.
Treesearch aims at creating a national platform to support the research on new materials from the forest. Research projects conducted within Treesearch research areas and the researchers who are active in these projects are welcome to join the platform.
