Research area:
- Prof. Stergios Adamopoulos leads the Composites & Fibres group at SLU, Uppsala. He is a wood scientist and, since 2015 as a Professor in Sweden, he works in different areas of wood products research to link forestry and wood technology, while another focus area is on sustainable materials and adhesives for composites used in furniture-construction-packaging as well as in recycling. In addition, he is familiar with wood microtechniques and microscopic analysis at different levels. This is coupled with active supervision and mentoring of several students and researchers through the years. Prof. Adamopoulos has a strong record of obtaining external research funding.
