Project: Cuticle-inspired barriers for lignocellulose materials

Research area:
- The aim of this project is to develop bio-polymeric films that mimic the plant-cuticle in its structure, function and properties so as to be used as a barrier material on primarily paper and board and other wood-related moisture-sensitive materials. The practical work involves polymer synthesis, polymer processing and characterization of polymers.
