What personal data does Treesearch process?

Treesearch collects different types of personal information depending on type of involvement within Treesearch.

If you are an associate researcher / doctoral student / postdoctoral fellow, Treesearch uses the information you have submitted to provide information and a range of research support available within Treesearch, such as courses, conferences and research infrastructure. Treesearch will also list affiliated researchers and research projects on, for example, its website to facilitate collaboration.

If you are subscribed to our newsletter (only for associated), Treesearch saves information about your name and email address in a mail list as well. These are used to send out information via email about Treesearch activities. This information may be targeted depending on the organization affiliation, which is based on the email address you provided. If you unsubscribe (by sending a mail to registrator@treesaerch.se), Treesearch will remove your personal information from the mailing list, but not per default from the list of associated unleash asked specifically for.

Treesearch may also process your personal data in connection with, for example, events and courses. This applies to both associated and non-associated persons. The information is then linked to the current occasion and is used to provide relevant information regarding the current event.

Disclosure of personal data

If your personal information is contained in a public document, the document may be disclosed in accordance with the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, as Treesearch as an organization belongs to an authority through KTH as the host university.

Treesearch will not transfer personal data to third parties or countries.

Storage of personal data

Treesearch stores your data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. You can have your data with us deleted if there are no legal reasons why Treesearch needs to save the data. Contact registrator@treesearch.se.

What rights do you have as an associated or registered to a Treesearch-event?

You have the right to receive information about which personal data about you that is processed by Treesearch. If you want to know what personal information Treesearch has about you, you can contact registrator@treesearch.se. If you believe that information about you is incorrect or misleading, you can request that the information should be corrected.
