WWSC Academy is the research center Wallenberg Wood Science Center’s graduate-student school with two weeklong courses per year with the aim to facilitate for collaborations and to close the gap between academic research and industry.WWSC Academy is since 2019 open for PhD students from other research projects and universities via Treesearch.
In the new batch of WWSC Academy, starting autumn 2023, Treesearch offers the opportunity for 10 PhD students to join WWSC Academy and the WWSC community.

What is expected of the applicants?
Admitted as a Treesearch PhD student in WWSC Academy you have your spot secured at, and are expected to attend, the WWSC Academy courses. The courses are held two times per year (one course every semester).
You become a part of the WWSC community and are expected to attend the WWSC workshops, held two times per year. These workshops are exclusive to WWSC members and contains presentations by both external and internal speakers. You are also expected to be a part of the PhD student activities at the workshop, usually a pitch and poster presentation – excellent opportunities to present your research!
To be able to join the first WWSC Academy course in October 2023, Treesearch needs your application no later than October 9.

How do I apply?
To apply for WWSC Academy please fill in the registration form and letter of motivation, including a brief description of your PhD work. Note that a signature from your supervisor is needed. The registration form and motivation letter are sent via mail to email@example.com
Your PhD project, as well as yourself, should be associated to Treesearch. Read more on how to become associated here
A selection will be made from among the applications received. Admitted applicants will be notified via email.

Since we aim for highly motivated students and to have a broad the national distribution is important, great importance is therefore placed on the motivation letter and university for the applicant
