PhD project: Conductor patterns in wood and paper
Supervisor: Isak Engquist
Dissertation planned to: 2021-08
Research area:
- Cellulose-based materials are promising to be integrated into novel nanodevices through accurate 3D writing and other techniques. The main existing pathways for the inclusion of electronic conductivity into cellulose structures are the various forms of carbon materials and various conducting polymers. This work aims to create free-standing 3D conductor patterns in the bulk of cellulose nanofiber paper under the concept of printed electronic technologies. The successful 3D patterning of conductors will pave the way to manufacture the future paper-based power transistor or supercapacitor.
