PhD project: MYCOMYM- MYcelium based COMposite and mycozYMes production for upgraded lignocellulose material
Supervisor: Amparo Jiménez Quero
Dissertation planned to: 2028-09-01
Research area:
- My research focuses on the use of fungal technologies to upcycle abundant underutilized lignocellulosic biomass by generating innovative bio-based materials and industrially relevant enzymes. More specifically, fungi will be studied for their efficiency in biomass degradation, offering a deeper understanding on the molecular interactions of fungal mycelium and lignocellulose modification.
- Research theme: 2-biorefinery, 3-material forming, 4-material concepts
