Project: Circular biobased materials from lignin and cellulose

Research area:
- In my main project I develop light-induced depolymerization of lignin to obtain building blocks to synthesize bioplastics, and light-induced H2O2 formation from lignin and its use in subsequent reactions. I also work with valorization of grass press-cake to obtain non-wood cellulose for textiles and chlorophyll for photochemical reactions. Participation in other projects: lignin fractionation for carbon fibers, NMR-based lignin characterization and synthesis of ionic liquids from literature to solubilize cellulose-lignin fibers.
