Research area:
- The focus of the proposed project is to accelerate the understanding of a new metal-polymer barrier solution in food package. Developing and testing a new multi-layer barrier solution requires a deep understanding of the structure and properties of each layer and the interaction between them and the final barrier performance. The objective of the project will be to optimize the polymer and metal layers by coupling their structure to their performance as a barrier layer with respect to food safety and food quality.
